The peaches at Fuji Farm are grown using the "organic grass cultivation method" that was developed and researched by our predecessor in the 1950s for the purpose of cultivating peaches. This method involves growing weeds, clover, and grasses in the fields, which are then harvested and used as part of the fertilizer. As the grass roots grow and move in the soil, oxygen is absorbed into the soil, stimulating the reproduction of earthworms, moles, microorganisms, and soil bacteria. Fermented cow manure, chicken droppings, rice bran, and other fertilizers are then spread on top of the soil, which then decomposes them, creating rich soil.
The grass prevents the soil from drying out, and also prevents the surface temperature of the soil from rising during the hot summer months. Furthermore, when it rains a lot, the grass' roots absorb the water and evaporate it from the leaves, so it also plays a role in regulating the moisture in the soil. Fields like these produce sweet, juicy peaches.
When harvest time arrives, we regularly visit the fields and carefully select the peaches that have ripened after being showered with love, picking them one by one at the most delicious time.
For customers who prefer firm peaches, we harvest them when they are firm and sweet, just before they become soft. For customers who prefer soft peaches, we harvest them counting backwards from the expected harvest date to deliver peaches that will fill your mouth with juice the moment you put them in your mouth. We then carefully select the peaches we harvest, striving to deliver only the finest quality peaches.
The skin of peaches is very delicate. Unfortunately, some peaches may be scratched by strong winds, have unique shapes, or are uneven in size, but they have been grown with the same love and care. Of course, the taste is of the highest order. These peaches are not suitable as gifts, but we offer them at reasonable prices so that you can enjoy them at home.
We grow and ship our peaches with the smiles of all those people in mind: those who receive them as gifts, those who buy them as a reward for working hard, and those who buy them for their own home and enjoy with their families.
